We aimed to investigate the associations between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in LIN7C, BDNFOS and BDNF genes and drug addiction in the Han Chinese population.
Abnormalities in structural AJ, FA and polarity complexes in ADPKD epithelia include loss of E-cadherin, and focal adhesion kinase (FAK), MALS-3, Crb and Dlg complexes as well as disruptions in Rab/sec and syntaxin trafficking and membrane docking pathways.
The former four loci as well as LIN7C/BDNF were also modestly associated with T2D risk (odds ratio 1.09-1.22, 0.008 < P < 0.041), but the associations were lost after adjustment for BMI, suggesting their roles in T2D risk are mediated through modulation of adiposity.
