Urinary 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine in relation to XRCC1 rs25487 G/A (Arg399Gln) and OGG1 rs1052133 C/G (Ser326Cys) DNA repair genes polymorphisms in patients with chronic hepatitis C and related hepatocellular carcinoma.
In subgroup analyses by cancer types, we found that the hOGG1 Ser326Cys polymorphism may increase hepatocellular cancer and colorectal cancer risks, but decrease the risk of oral cancer.
For hOGG1 Ser326Cys polymorphism, there was a significant association of this polymorphism with HCC risk under</span> heterogeneous codominant model (OR = 1.38, 95 % CI = 1.01-1.88) and dominant model (OR = 1.57, 95 % CI = 1.14-2.16).
