Collectively, these data indicated that PPAR-<i>γ</i> may have the therapeutic potential in atherosclerosis via the transcriptional regulation of miR-590-5p in endothelial cells.
In conclusion, nobiletin may alleviate lipid accumulation and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines by enhancing the inhibitory effect of miR-590 on LPL expression, suggesting a promising strategy for potential drug development for atherosclerosis.
The present study provided new insight into the roles of LINC00657 and miR-590-3p in preventing oxLDL-induced angiogenesis and may provide a novel strategy for atherosclerosis treatment.
