Midregional pro-adrenomedullin change was increased in patients reaching the secondary end points, SIRS (optimal cutoff: 0.2 nmol/L) and AKI (optimal cutoff: 0.7 nmol/L), but not in patients with MACEs.
The cut-off values for serum adrenomedullin and urinary thromboxane B<sub>2</sub> (TXB<sub>2</sub> ), when used as predictors for functional AKI (adrenomedullin >283 pg/mL, urinary TXB<sub>2</sub> >978 [pg/mg urinary creatinine]), for HRS (adrenomedullin >428, urinary TXB<sub>2</sub> >1604), and for good terlipressin plus albumin treatment responders (adrenomedullin >490, urinary TXB<sub>2</sub> >1863), were observed.
