Our study confirmed the hypothesis that these microRNAs were associated with the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway in SLE. miR-150-5pΔCT was positively associated with SLE disease activity and it was negatively correlated with MAVS 70 kD, which may facilitate viral survival and further enhance inflammation.
Together, these data suggested that TREM-1 signaling pathway may be a therapeutic target to prevent the effects of the inflammatory cDCs in SLE and miRNA-150 serves as the important regulator.
And also, this review provides a comprehensive view on the association of miR-150 and autoimmune diseases such as systemic sclerosis (SSc), multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and contact sensitivity.
The initial analysis indicated that seven miRNAs, including miR-145, miR-224, miR-513-5p, miR-150, miR-516a-5p, miR-483-5p and miR-629, were found to be potentially abnormally expressed in SLE T cells.
