LIF-treated rats showed significantly lower levels of the LIF receptor and interferon gamma in the spleen and CD11b levels in the brain compared to their PBS-treated counterparts.
In addition, elevated numbers of CD11b+ dendritic cells (DCs) were found in the lung draining lymph nodes following infection of BTE sensitised mice compared to infected PBS treated mice.
The number of prostatic CD11c+ and CD11b+ dendritic cells increased significantly in rhFL-treated mice compared with PBS-treated control mice and this effect was greatly augmented by castration of the mice.
