Rational cyclization-based minimization of entropy penalty upon the binding of Nrf2-derived linear peptides to Keap1: A new strategy to improve therapeutic peptide activity against sepsis.
In the sepsis group, the structure of myocardial tissue and mitochondria were significantly damaged, the serum cTnI level increased (<i>P</i> < 0.05), the ATP level reduced, the degree of myocardial mitochondrial swelling aggravated, and the mRNA expression levels of Nrf2, PGC-1α, and Tfam increased (<i>P</i> < 0.05).
Benznidazole, the trypanocidal drug used for Chagas disease, induces hepatic NRF2 activation and attenuates the inflammatory response in a murine model of sepsis.
