The aim of this study was to determine the clinicopathologic and immunologic parameters (PD-1, PD-L1, and PD-L2) related to the persistence/recurrence of CIN after conization.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of PD-1 and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) on the development of cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN).
Our results suggest that up-regulation of the inhibitory PD-1/PD-L1 pathway may negatively regulate cervical cell-mediated immunity to HPV and contribute to the progression of HR-HPV-related CIN.
