To identify indicators of early recurrence and poor prognosis, we assessed the clinicopathological findings and preoperative laboratory data (carcinoembryonic antigen [CEA], squamous cell carcinoma antigen, total protein, and albumin) of 112 EC patients who underwent surgery.
