For the screening and validation of miR-27a-3p expression in colon cancer, several colon cancer cell lines (HCT-116, HCT8, SW480, HT29, LOVO and Caco2) and the normal colorectal epithelial cell line NCM460 were examined.
While the proliferation and invasiveness of colon cancer cells in the anti-miR-27a and Lv-SFRP1 groups were decreased, the expressions of GSK-3β and p-β-catenin were elevated, and the expressions of p-GSK-3β, β-catenin, c-Myc and cyclin D1 were decreased.
The drug resistance suppression induced by curcuminoids in colon cancer SW-480 cells is mediated by reactive oxygen species-induced disruption of the microRNA-27a-ZBTB10-Sp axis.
