In particular, the role of mammalian target of rapamycin inhibitors adopted as immunosuppressive agents in kidney transplantation is reviewed in the light of recent studies that have shown LVH regression induced by this class of medications in kidney transplant recipients with posttransplant cardiomyopathy.
