We also reported that individuals with pancreatic premalignancy, Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm (IPMN), had increased circulating levels of MDSC that inversely correlated with spontaneous antibody responses against the pancreatic tumor associated antigen MUC1, abnormally expressed on IPMN.
The gastric type of IPNB was less frequently positive for CDX2, and intestinal IPNB was more frequently positive for MUC1 and less frequently positive for MUC2, MUC5AC, and CDX2 compared to each subtype of IPMN, respectively.
Both PDACs with and without IPMNs were frequently positive for MUC1, MUC5AC, and MUC6 expression, as assessed by immunohistochemistry, but were negative for MUC2 and CDX2.
