In conclusion, the current meta-analysis indicates that AdipoQ rs2241766 T>G and rs1501299 G>T polymorphisms may contribute to an increasing susceptibility to NAFLD.
The tagSNPs rs2241767, rs1501299 and rs3774261 in the adiponectin gene are risk factors for the individuals' susceptibility to and progression of NAFLD.
