Chlorpyrifos could inhibit cell proliferation, activate cell pyroptosis and increase susceptibility on oxidative stress-induced toxicity by elevating miR-181 through down-regulation of the SIRT1/PGC-1α/Nrf2 pathway in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells.
In addition, overexpression of either PGC-1α or FNDC5 reversed the suppressive effects of the Aβ1-42 oligomers on the expression of BDNF in neuroblastoma 2a (n2a) cells.
Overexpression of PGC-1α in neuronal neuroblastoma spinal cord 34 cells subjected to EAE inflammatory conditions showed similar results to those obtained <i>in vivo.</i> RNA sequencing analysis showed that apoptotic processes were significantly enriched in the top 10 significant gene ontology (GO) terms of differentially expressed genes, and the apoptotic pathway was significantly enriched in Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis.
