In conclusion, our findings demonstrated that PMCS exacerbated asthma in mice by increasing H3K9 and H3K14 acetylation in IL-4 gene promoter in CD4 + T cells, and P300 and HDAC1 might contribute to their combined effects.
In the PPI network, F‑box only protein 6 (FBXO6), histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and amyloid β precursor protein (APP) were hub genes and served an important role in the process of asthma.
There was no difference in the site of HDAC1-HDAC6 expression between normal subjects and subjects with asthma, but subjects with asthma had reduced HDAC enzymatic activity and reduced HDAC1 and HDAC2 protein expression, as measured by Western blotting.
