Our data showed that the expression of PLGF and MMP3 strongly correlated in the larynx carcinoma in the patients, and significant higher levels of PLGF and MMP3 were detected in the larynx carcinoma from the patients with metastasis of the primary cancer.
Cells that overexpressed SLC39A6 had increased expression of mRNAs and proteins associated with metastasis, such as matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) 1, MMP3, MYC, and snail family transcriptional repressor 2 (SNAI2 or SLUG).
Clinical osteoblastic bone metastasis samples had higher levels of Notch3 and MMP-3 compared with patient matched visceral metastases or osteolytic metastasis samples.
