This study aimed to explore the potential association between survivin promotor gene -31G/C single nucleotide polymorphism (rs9904341) and its serum level alteration on one hand, and the risk of breast cancer in Egyptian patients on the other hand.
Stratified analysis by cancer type revealed that the survivin rs9904341 polymorphism may increase the risk of colorectal cancer, renal cell cancer, gastric cancer, and bladder cancer.
An upgrade risk in rs9904341 of BIRC5 were revealed to be associated with urinary cancer in allele contrast model (OR = 1.222, P = 0.012), homozygote contrast model (OR = 1.579, P = 0.0001) and recessive contrast model (OR = 1.433, P < 0.001), as well as rs2071214 polymorphism in the subgroup analysis of BCa in allele contrast model (OR = 1.362, P = 0.011) and recessive contrast model (OR = 1.417, P = 0.015).

What's more, rs17878467 polymorphism may play a protect role in the tumorigenesis of urinary cancer, shown in heterozygote comparison model (MW vs. WW: OR = 0.882, 95% CI = 0.78-0.999, P = 0.048).
The aim of this study was to investigate the possible association of c.-31G>C (rs9904341), c.454G>A (rs2071214), c.*148T>C (rs2239680) and c.*571T>C (rs1042489) polymorphisms of survivin gene with prostate cancer risk and provide some justification using in silico analysis.

The purpose of the study is to investigate possible relationship, that is associated with development and prognosis of the disease, between the 3 'UTR region (rs17878624) polymorphism and NSCLC in a Turkish society.

In conclusion, the SNP of rs9904341C/G in survivin may be correlated with the risk of acute leukemia, and compared with C/C genotype, patients with C/G or G/G may have a decreased risk of acute leukemia.
We observed an epistatic interaction between survivin rs9904341 CC+CG genotype and ADIPOQ rs1063539 GG genotype increasing the risk of EC compared to those with other genotypes [OR: 4.86(1.88-12.54), P=0.001].
