Intriguingly, experimental results unravelled that excess O<sub>3</sub> promoted high expression of the pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-8 (IL-8), which ultimately induced depression phenotypes.
Levels of IL-6 and -8 were analyzed in the CSF of 47 patients with relapsing-remitting MS.
