The aim of this study was to understand current trends in trastuzumab use in China as a neoadjuvant/adjuvant therapy for human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 positive (HER2+) breast cancer and identify factors influencing trastuzumab use. This was a retrospective, multicenter, cross-sectional study of patients diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer (stage I-III), between July 2013 and June 2014, at 155 hospitals in 29 provinces/cities in China.
We reviewed clinicopathological characteristics of patients with HER2+ breast cancer (Stage I-III) treated with either a neoadjuvant pertuzumab-containing regimen or dose-dense (dd) AC-TH, from 2011 to 2016 at a large academic medical institution and two affiliated community sites. pCR was defined as ypT0/is ypN0.
Effectiveness, safety, and economic evaluation of adjuvant moxibustion therapy for aromatase inhibitor-induced arthralgia of postmenopausal breast cancer stage I to III patients: Study protocol for a prospective, randomized, assessor-blind, usual-care controlled, parallel-group, pilot clinical trial.
The adjusted hazard ratio for death following a diagnosis of stage I breast cancer associated with chemotherapy was 0.53 (95 % CI 0.28-1.07; p value 0.06) after adjusting for age of diagnosis, tumor size, and estrogen receptor status.
27 of 52 (51.9%) patients with stage I breast cancer, 31 of 40 (77.5%) with stage II and 30 of 34 (88.2%) patients with stage III exhibited elevated hTERT levels.
