In the present study we show that a number of cancer cell lines from different tissues display dramatically increased expression of the Cockayne Syndrome group B (CSB) protein, a DNA repair factor, that has recently been shown to be involved in cell robustness.
The combination genotype of XPG rs2296147 T and CSBrs2228526 G allele had accumulative effect on the risk of this cancer, with an OR (95% CI) of 2.23(1.37-3.59).
