Then, in vitro cell experiments (cell scratch assay and transwell assay) were used to further study the effects of Decorin on migration and invasion of human lung cancer cell line A549; the effect of transforming growth factor-β on the expression of Decorin and Ets-1 protein was verified by Western blotting.
Using mouse cell lines derived from Kras<sup>G12D</sup> and Kras<sup>G12D</sup>/Lkb1<sup>-/-</sup> mouse models and the human lung cancer (A549) cell line, we show that ETS1 regulates Twist1 expression.
These results demonstrate that the transcription factor c-ets-1, collagenase 1, and urokinase-type plasminogen activator are involved in lung cancer invasion and suggest that c-ets-1 protein might transactivate collagenase 1 gene during tumor invasion.
