Bioinformatic analysis revealed that MACC1 is positively associated with fatty acid synthase (FASN), a major enzyme of lipogenesis, and drives chemoresistance to oxaliplatin in GC.
Taken together, it was suggested that FASN was closely associated with GC metastasis and survival, which further provided evidence that FASN may be a promising prognostic biomarker for patients with GC.
The aim of the current study was to examine the expression of H-FABP and its relation to clinicopathologic parameters and fatty acid synthase (FAS) status of gastric carcinoma, since gastric cancer shows increased expression of FAS.
