Natural killer cell-type lymphoproliferative disease of granular lymphocytes is a disorder characterized by chronic proliferation of CD3(-)CD16(+) granular lymphocytes.
Natural killer (NK) cell-type lymphoproliferative disease of granular lymphocytes (LDGL) is characterized by the outgrowth of CD3(-)CD16/56(+) NK cells, and can be further subdivided into two distinct categories: aggressive NK cell leukemia (ANKL) and chronic NK lymphocytosis (CNKL).
We describe a patient with a CD3- lymphoproliferative disease of granular lymphocytes (LDGL) characterized by proliferation of CD3-CD16+ GL, restricted to the expression of p58/EB6 antigen and lacking the p58/GL183 antigen.
