Cases of endocervical adenocarcinoma in-situ (AIS, n=33) invasive adenocarcinoma (ADCA, n=55), cervical intraepithelial neoplasia-3 (CIN3, n=130) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC, n=60) were collected at the New York Hospital and tested for HPV using SPF(10)PCR-LIPA(25) (version 1) assays and for HPV16 variants using a multiplex PCR and reverse hybridization assay.
As part of our HPV-PathogenISS study, a series of 150 squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) and 152 CIN lesions were examined using immunohistochemical (IHC) staining for topoisomerase IIalpha (topo IIalpha), and tested for HPV using PCR with three primer sets (MY09/11, GP5/GP6, SPF).
