The peptide position analysis identified additional lung cancer susceptibility amino acid positions, including HLA-DRβ1 position 30 and 11 (P<sub>omnibus</sub>=6.11×10<sup>-5</sup> and 6.91×10<sup>-5</sup>), HLA-DQa1 47 and 76 (P<sub>omnibus</sub>=3.96×10<sup>-4</sup> and 1.41×10<sup>-2</sup>) and HLA-A 152 (P<sub>omnibus</sub>=4.86×10<sup>-4</sup>).
DQA1*03 and the minor allele for a polymorphism, rs2736100, in TERT, another lung cancer susceptibility locus identified in recent GWASs on Europeans and Americans, were indicated to independently contribute to ADC risk with per allele OR of 1.43 (95% CI = 1.31-1.56, P = 7.8 x 10(-16)).
