Overexpression of miRNA-382-5p dramatically reduced MXD1 mRNA and protein expression levels in breast cancer cells. miRNA-382-5p upregulation markedly enhanced breast cancer cell proliferation and invasion, while its downregulation inhibited these malignant phenotypes of breast cancer cells in vitro.
Our studies thus elucidate the potential role of hUCBSC in controlling glioma cell cycle progression and invasion by limiting Max binding to c-Myc, thus regulating the expression of glioma cell cycle and invasion associated molecules such as ERK, integrins via increased levels of Mad1 expression.
