The protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis for these differentially expressed cytokines showed the top five cytokines interacting with most other cytokines were insulin, SDF-1a, CD40L, IL-18 and NCAM-1, suggesting these five targets are important in the pathogenesis of CaP, and more sensitive for the early diagnosis and prognosis of CaP.
In silico analysis of FYN expression in prostate cancer cell line databases revealed an association with the expression of neuroendocrine (NE) markers such as CHGA, CD44, CD56, and SYP.
A negative correlation between prostate-specific antigen levels and the overall percentage of P(+), CD3(+) CD56(-) P(+) , and CD3(-) CD56(+) P(+) cells in the prostate tissue was observed only in patients with PCa.
