The results demonstrated that Nrf2, NQO1 and HO-1 were significantly upregulated in RCC tissues compared with adjacent tissues and were associated with tumor node metastasis stage, Fuhrman classification and lymph node metastasis.
Among the 18 patients with lymph node metastasis at nephroureterectomy who underwent retroperitoneal lymph node dissection and received adjuvant chemotherapy, the patients with higher Nrf2 expression in the primary tumor had worse recurrence-free survival.
