Here we examine the role of TG2 in metastasis of lung cancer using a lung cancer cell line CL1-0, which exhibits low invasiveness, and its invasive subline CL1-5.
In this study, we examined TG2 expression in specimen of 194 patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and found that the TG2 gene expression was significantly higher in lung cancer tissues as compared to paired incisal marginal tissues or normal tissues.
We show here that the TG2 inhibitor KCC009 reversed resistance to tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing factor (TRAIL) in lung cancer cells.
Finally, we found that RASSF1C, unlike RASSF1A, does not upregulate N-cadherin 2 and transglutaminase 2 protein expression in NCI H1299 lung cancer cells.
