The ability of the immobilized rEK to cleave fusion proteins was tested by recirculation of thioredoxin (Trx)-TB10.4 and Trx-Ag85B His-tagged proteins yielding the mature antigens TB10.4 and Ag85B, to be used in the preparation of potential novel glycovaccines against tuberculosis.
Disruption of redox catalytic functions of peroxiredoxin-thioredoxin complex in Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv using small interface binding molecules.
Here, we identified a periplasmic thioredoxin, CcsX, necessary for heme insertion into cytochrome c. We investigated the consequences of disrupting cytochrome c maturation (CCM) for growth and survival of M. tuberculosis in vitro and for its pathogenesis.
