Stratified analysis of smoking status and biomass with SNPs supported rs56061981 may interact with biomass and smoking thus modulate COPD susceptibility and rs56216945 was apparently associated with the severity of pulmonary function of COPD patients.
In -135G/A (rs56061981) polymorphism, PTB patients with GG genotype showed a significantly decreased expression of CD3+ CXCL10+ and CD3+ CD4+ CXCL10+ T cells compared to A allele carrier (GA+AA) under unstimulated, CFA induced and M. tuberculosis infected cultures (P<0.05).
In MDR analyses revealed that the CXCL10 rs56061981 and CCL22 rs4359426 combination was the best model, with 57% accuracy (P = 0.008) for predicting susceptibility to HIV infection.
Following extensive bioinformatics analyses, two reported single nucleotide polymorphisms in the CXCL10 promoter (-135G>A [rs56061981] and -1447A>G [rs4508917]) were identified among 66 CM and 69 non-CM Indian patients using PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism assay.
