Subsequent specific RNA interference-mediated depletion or ectopic expression of LEDGF/p75 caused obviously down- or up-regulated expression of p21 mRNA in ESCC cells harboring rs2395655 GG genotype but not cells with rs2395655 AA genotype.
The rs3829963 C and rs2395655 G alleles, combined with cigarette smo</span>king, could further increase the risk for E</span>SCC (OR = 2.657 and OR = 2.828, respectively).
In the multiple genetic model, we found that the rs2395655 in CDKN1A is related with the risk of ESCC, and that the G allele increases the susceptibility to ESCC (OR: 1.364; 95% CI: 1.104-1.685).
